The chatbot takes in an informal user request on
items at their local branch. It then takes that feedback
and stocks up the items at that local branch by
either shipping the items to the store directly from
the manufacturer or from another location. After the items have
arrived, the user will receive an email with the update.
This helps with stock efficiency and user experience and makes
each store personalized to that location.
Gift Planner
The gift planner helps make choosing a gift easier for the user.
The user can choose a category of gift they hope to get someone
and the gift planner will provide a diverse amount of possible
options that the user can choose from. This easily makes gift
choosing more convenient and efficient. In the future, the gift
planner will also include different price range options to take
into account the user's budget and will incorporate a working API
to access updated items in Walmart's stock inventory.
Trees Planted
The trees planted feature takes into account the amount of
time a user has been on the page. With Walmart's focus on
sustainability, the user can save 5 trees every thirty minutes
they stay on the page. It encourages the user to stay on the
Walmart page for longer while emphasizing one of Walmart's
major values.
